Two Right Feet
What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?
I often wake up and get motivated by getting a nice stretch to open up my lungs for oxygen. I think it’s a crucial exercise to practice as it releases endorphins and wakes up the senses. Afterwards, I take my dog for a walk. I try not to be lazy by putting on the running shoes and walk no shorter than 15 minutes with him. The additional vitamin C from the sun helps with giving me a positive mood as well as some time to think, whether it be reflecting on yesterday’s events or planning my day ahead of me. Then I make breakfast!
Of course, things are easier said than practiced and these things never happen every day. Skipping these habits however, results in me being more fatigue and stressed out the rest of the day. I use these days as a reminder of how a simple 30 minutes I set out for myself can, not only impact my well-being, but others that I am in contact with as well.
